Young Filmmaker Bursary

A bursary scheme for young filmmakers is being launched by Ealing Film Festival with the generous support of The McGrath Charitable Foundation and MetFilm School.

The bursary is open to anyone aged between eighteen and twenty-five.

Places will be available on a number of short film courses at the prestigious MetFilm School in Ealing.

We are able to do this thanks to the generous support of The McGrath Charitable Trust and MetFilm School.  Full details to follow.

Please note that the recipients will be responsible for meeting all other costs, including travel and accommodation, if they do not live locally.

Kevin McGrath says:

“The Trust is delighted and proud to support the Ealing Film Festival with a bursary of a filmmaking course at the internationally renowned Met Film School, based in Ealing.

“We are delighted to provide support to young people with talent and drive to allow them to progress in their chosen vocation.”

Ealing Film Festival was launched in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and is now in its fourth year. It has attracted more than a thousand entries from emerging filmmakers throughout the world.

We started Ealing Film Festival to shine a spotlight on new talent. There are some great new filmmakers out there just waiting to be discovered. This bursary will help to find them and allow them to realise their potential.
